These sites allow you to place a free link to your own web page. Personally, I've found this extremely exhausting, yet the results have paid off. If you're looking for a quick fix to this tiresome task, there's a company called LINKOMATIC who submits to all these sites and more... automatically usually withing 15 seconds! I've used my server logs to determine where my hits and orders were coming from, and believe it or not, I'm getting quite a few orders from these "free for all links".  It's only $100!   You can  to submit to the entire list many times-- I do it every week!
